To this day, Toy Story 3 is the highest grossing animated film of all time, with over one billion dollars made worldwide. Toy Story 3 is the only animated movie to ever cross the one billion mark, and it’s easy to see why. Toy Story 3 was the long awaited- albeit unexpected- 2010 sequel to 1999′s Toy Story 2 and 1995′s Toy Story. In comparison, the first film in the series only made 361,000, http://tvsavings.org/,000. Granted, Toy Story was made when the production company Pixar was still quite young. After the success of Finding Nemo, Cars, The Incredibles and pretty much all of the other Pixar films, the company has become a name that is synonymous with “good movies”. Taking second place in the overall highest grossing movies is The Lion King, making 951,000,000; and the number 3 spot belongs to the aforementioned Finding Nemo, which made 921 million worldwide.
